The objective of this presentation is to emphasize, in a short and schematic way, different views of meaningful learning and, by doing this, to approach the subject from an historical and prospective fashion. It starts with Ausubel's classical view and subsequently goes through views taken from different authors – Novak, Gowin, Johnson-Laird, Vergnaud, Maturana, Araujo and Veit – and ends with the critical perspective of the author himself.
