In light of the number of significant forces that are continuing to impact higher education, BCG has conducted a benchmarking study to understand how global institutions are responding to these forces as they relate to undergraduate education Twelve institutions participated in the study. The study explored a common set of topics across the participating institutions to enable comparisons to be made The work highlighted that while in some aspects of undergraduate education change is relatively slow, in other areas a wide range of experimentation is under way This document summarizes the forces at play and excerpts from the research, highlights some areas of particular interest, and suggests a set of questions for university leaders to consider
